@Butrflynet,
I work about a block from the finish line - there were about a dozen or more ambulances lined up on Huntington Ave - my guess to wait for the injured - I haven't looked out in the last half hour. We felt the explosion and heard the bombs going off. I am a bit afraid to look out.

We aren't in lock down - but we are advised to stay in the building. I figure right now it is safest here. Not sure as they are closing some of the subway lines and not stopping at certain stops which may be alarming because these are not stops near the marathon - but major stops where you change trains. Not sure how or when I will go home.

Boston Marathon official statement describes incident as "two bombs."

Will post when I can get through to a website that has it.

MSNBC: Word that there has been a 3rd explosion, may have been bomb squad taking precautions with unknown packages.

@Butrflynet,
yes for once I am happy to be so overworked that I don't leave my desk. We keep hearing sirens -

I am reading boston's blog - there is supposedly reports of secondary devices. Perhaps why they are not stopping at certain subway stops. Do I want to be on a subway later?
