Tomorrow night, Rose will interview Richard Perle re Clarke's book.

During the interview, Clarke told Rose the reason his book wasn't published until today is because the Bush administration held it up since November. As a former White House employee, Clarke is required to submit his book to the administration for review, which he did in November 2003. The administration didn't release the book for publication until last month.

Why would they do that? They knew they couldn't stop the book being published and wanted to make it look like it was politically motivated to influence the election. The administration OK delay allowed the Bush mouthpieces to protest the political motives to try to deflect the book's impact with the public.

This is an exceptionally good interview because Rose is smart enough to know the right questions to ask and to probe and Clarke responded with more in depth information.
