What do you think are the best ways to get others involved, to get them to vote with your side?
Creating flyers and leaving them on car windshields?
Handing out pamphlets?
Protesting?
Informal conversation at events/parties/gatherings?
Signs on your back window of your car?
In the end, do you think any of it makes a real difference? Are any particularly effective, or a waste of time and energy?
Any ideas would be appreciated...
In order to influence others, you must first believe in your message and the candidate. Then, you must share your passion about that message and the candidate who delivers it.
Flyers on car windshields? No. People just litter the ground with them.
Handing out pamphlets? You can, but 75% of the people won't even read them.
Protesting? Sure, protesting will get you noticed. How many people it will influence is another matter. I doubt that many peoples minds have been changed because 10 or 1,000 people protested.
Informal conversation at events/parties/gatherings? This is the best and most effective way to go, IMHO. One on one, face to face with someone and sharing your views is by far the best way to go. Don't be confrontational....be confident when expressing your views.
Signs on your back window of your car? Sure. I've had a John Kerry sticker on my back window since March 1st. Bumper stickers or window signs let others know that you proudly support your candidate and if that person supports him/her also, comfirms their support and lets them know that others feel the same as they do.
Supporting your candidate and spreading the word is never a waste of time. To sit idly by and do nothing is letting your opponet win.
Do we need two threads about the same topic?
I didn't know there was another thread about this topic, McG. I'm sure the moderators will make any corrections necessary if there is a problem.
My mistake for the double-post.
Can admin please consolidate them, or delete the other thread?
Thanks!
