This year, more than ever before, I plan on doing what I can to educate others and getting them to the polls.
My question:
What do you think are the best ways to get others involved? To get them to vote with your side?
Creating flyers and leaving them on car windshields?
Handing out pamphlets?
Protesting?
Informal conversation at events/parties/gatherings?
Signs on your back window of your car?
Any ideas would be appreciated...
I thought you wanted Bush out of office? if you go around educating people, you'll wind up just assuring that Bush stays in office 4 more years...
I really don't know about you guys.
I would say casual conversation or small gatherings.
The barrel of a gun. That's the ticket.
Casual conversations, not escalating into shouting matches.
I'm considering making a "fact sheet" (straightforward one page document) and putting them on car windshields. Only problem is, I don't know if it would be worth it.
Bush is going to lose New York in a big way, so there is no real demand for that course of action. Maybe such an idea would be better in a southern state.
In any case, I know casual conversations are the best route... its just that so few people engage in political discussions, its tough to go that route.
People don't usually change their minds about anything fast, except, I suppose, by indoctrination, which I don't recommend. A thoughtful comment here or there echoes later more than someone's diatribe. To me, anyway.
