The Crucible prompt

So I have to have this essay done in a few days and I don't really understand the prompt. Anyone read the crucible and can help me out a little? I'd appreciate it!

Here's the prompt: Discuss the relationship between private sin and public sin as
illustrated in The Crucible and in doing so analyze Miller’s thematic
statement about the achievement of moral honesty.
