Photographers new to me (but known by plenty of others)

While I don't subscribe anymore, I still read the New Yorker online, more or less every day, reading what is not "locked" to a non-subscriber (plenty of good stuff, in my view), reading some of the writers' blogs, and so on.

Today I started looking at some of the photography section, Photo Booth.
Oh, my...

Three people who interest me so far (and I've only looked at three, so far):

1) Luigi Ghirri -

2) Olivia Arthur and 3) Richard Mosse

Have you run across any photographers lately than you hadn't heard of before and now like?

@ossobuco,
I subscribe to the print edition of The New Yorker, and in the last few months have been enjoying the website. I love the photography section. Recently enjoyed a portrait gallery of Westminster dogs. Don't remember if a corgi was included. My favorite was an English setter. Photographer Landon Nordeman.

@nextone,
Oooh, you know I'll go find that.

My parents had an english setter before I was born. Just this last week, I was telling Diane about a dog in my family that my mother told me ate socks (and that was a sign of how ill she was) and I showed Diane the photo in my hallway, of my father and Sally, probably late nineteen thirties. Diane has a wonderful dog named Sally..
My mother told me about Sally and the socks when I was maybe eight. Funny what we remember.

@ossobuco,
Ahhh, a slide show of subway photography - including one by Stanley Kubrick ...
I hadn't known he spent years doing photography.

There's a short article in the Guardian about a photographer I've not heard of, major artist in portrait photography:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2013/apr/26/my-hero-felix-nadar

My hero: Félix Nadar by Richard Holmes
The first great French portrait photographer of the 19th century, Nadar was a master of visual biography and a fearless promoter of new scientific ideas

Engaging photos by a photographer I've been ignorant of, from The Guardian,
about street photographerArthur Fields. I won't go on about it so that you have the same experience looking at the photos..

This photographer isn't new to me, but I don't see his work often and I saw a neat photo of his today - William Eggleston.

The first photo I liked of his, some years ago now:

The photo I saw today:

I guess I call him a photographer of the beauty in ordinary life. There is an Eggleston Trust website.
More, though, on google images, for getting a look at his work - lots of people and cars and buildings and land, these are just some favorites -
