Inappropriate to ask my doc if she would medically assist my sucide?
what would she be able to do since she is my doctor? and would it be alright to ask?

@wonder91,
It would be alright to ask, but I believe there is only one state in the US that allows it. You might be asking your doctor to participate in a murder.

@wonder91,
Perhaps you should speak about this with your therapist! Having a serious eating disorder is not something that any responsible doctor would consider participation in physician-assisted suicide... or even engage you in any such discussion.

@wonder91,
Are you going to pretend all of your other posts that detail your eating disorder is not visible to everyone that cares to read about it?

Oh! THAT eating disorder!

@wonder91,
Whatever happened with this that you posted on your other thread a few weeks ago?

@wonder91,
Please get professional help. You need close monitoring...just from your own words. This is more serious than you realize. It sounds like you're downplaying this to the therapist.

@wonder91,
See the therapist and talk about what you discussed here! It's not wise to use discussions online as any kind of therapy. It's clearly not helping you.

@wonder91,
You need to talk to a psychiatrist about this, why would you think about this kind of thing?

Are you in Oregon?

Has your doctor determined that you have 6 months or less to live?

Have you completed the two psychiatric evaluations required?

If so, it's appropriate. If not, it isn't.

You've broken the deal. Now you have to be honest and let her know. Call her today if you haven't already.
