My guy friend asked me out and we both agreed to go out. But we broke it off because his parents didn't allow him to date and he wasn't really ready to go out. We both really liked each other but I have to wait 3-4 years before I can date him.
I texted him today saying "should we become better friends" he replied with "it's all up to you. What should I do? I was thinking in writing him a note about how I feel. What should I write in it?

Just write your feelings, it will help you process them and will be healing to you in this situation. Just don't crush on him forever if he's not willing to reciprocate those feelings.
