When I ask this I often get an angry reply objecting to the term, "angry." All right then, irascible or perverse

…..though just a casual observation, you must understand, not in any way meant to endorse one camp or 't'other

@dalehileman,
If that's the case, you haven't had any discussions with those of any religious' background. Mr. Green

Read the Teaparty and other fundamentalist "religious" ranting before deciding who is the more angry. The atheist is angry in the sense that he gets senselessly attacked. The "religious" steadily work to tear down those they perceive to be or to help atheists and they sound like true terrorists much of the time.

edit: I am singling out fundamentalists and not all of the religious.

I think you significantly overestimate your ability to translate anyone's posts into what their mood might be.

In the examples where I can actually see the poster - you are consistently wrong.

I hope you have a better ability to read real-life clues about people's moods.

Beth, my first reaction, surely you're kidding

But if so thank you most kindly, you've made my entire day

If not however and if it's no trouble you might cite a few instances. Indeed I've been wrong

Once or twice

I'd certainly agree, Ed, about the fanaticism of the TeaPartiers. However few participants so ID themselves

fascinating. It makes your day to be told you're out there without a clue.

Good luck to you and anyone who has to deal with you in person.

@ehBeth,
Well it may be blissful to go through life without a clue. It surely must be less stressful.

@dalehileman,
When you mention feelings with respect to measure, or degree you haven't provided a comparative reference. The atheist is more angry than who or what, do you think?

@dalehileman,
In this political atomosphere, it doesn't make much difference, because the tea party still has influence over the GOP.

Well there's some truth to that. I do encounter a few on forums such as this but part of my reaction is derived from my stay with an actual athiest site, forget its name. Most of those fellas really tore into me until at length their Admin banned me because they were so angry at some of my postings

Incidentally a really remarkable feature of a2k compared to the others, the indulgence of our Admin, they will allow almost anything

@dalehileman,
Now these "angry" atheists in the forum you mentioned have really piqued my interest. If you do remember the name the forum, let me know. PM me or something.

@dalehileman,
Not recent, but "current" enough to get an idea how the tea party has influence on the republican party.

You only noticed the word Teaparty, when I included fundamentalists in general.

Yes Ed so you did, sorry. I wonder on the scale of irascibility and perversity, if not anger, how you might rate (a) athiest, (b) agnostic, © typical everyday believer, (d) fundamentalist, (e) panthiest

The last owing to his rarity might prove most difficult to score
