@ossobuco,
Dog pee, dog poo, haven't we all trodden in it barefoot at some time - yikes, no fun!

Lots of love to beautiful Katy - hope she's soon on the mend.

@sozobe,
Still floor peeing one or maybe a small second time a day.
Sigh.
Still has good appetite, not crazily ravenous as I was getting worried about.
Still bunches of pills left.
Still moderately energetic.
Still beautiful.

@ossobuco,
Good news that the beautiful Katy doesn't seem to be so ravenously hungry. And isn't peeing only a small amount the second time in a day an improvement - or not? Heartbreaking when a beloved animal is ill. Lots of love to her - hope with all my heart and soul that she shows signs of recovery soon.

@vonny,
Hi, vonny -
it's been 24 hrs since a house pee, knock on wood.

The veterinarian's office called today, bless'm, so I reported a mess of travails plus what I hope is an upturn.

She's sitting out in the 51 degree F sunshine right now.

@ossobuco,
So, is she doing as expected, according to the vets' office?

@roger,
This was not the vet I talked with, just one of the staff calling for a report.

@ossobuco,
24 hours without a house pee is great news! Poor Katy - must upset her to pee indoors - one of our early Labs became incontinent and the distress in her lovely eyes used to be so sad to see. But we loved her, so just learnt when to carry her outside ..... fast!

Lucky Katy - to be able to sit outside in such wonderful healing sunshine. Let's hope she continues to improve like this - guess one has to take it one day at a time!

@Roberta,
I figure we're into 36 hours, but my counting is sloppy and I don't want to push my hoper and have it drop a clutch.

Love Dog is wanting to have Roberta scrinch her chin. Really she is.

@vonny,
I act like it's nothing, tend to call her honey. My mother called me that - the things that come out of our mouths....

She skirts it going passed if it's still there on our way to the door - but she has always been good at skirting pools of water outside.

@ossobuco,
a spill, dammit.
Not too lake like.
Good thing I've got tile, mostly, and she did nose me just after.

My own suspicion, and yes, I need to talk to the vet, but probably not until the antibio course acts out - is that her infection has been quite large over time.

@ossobuco,
Poor Katy - poor you - it was going so well. But take heart, one tiny step backwards is all it is. Bless her, she sounds perfectly lovely, nosing you after the little mishap - her way of telling you 'sorry mum'.

Quite possibly you are right and past infection has been fairly major. Hope the vet can sort things out for her. Katy sounds as if she's a little fighter - good girl!

@vonny,
a slight pool today, early, 1 a.m.

We're hanging in.

She is very smart, but also practical.

here's to the diminution and cessation of lakes, pools, puddles, splashes and droplets!

@dlowan,
Nuts, another one just now. Not too bad, only seven paper towels worth.

I'm not sure why I am so optimistic, but I keep seeing wee (hee) progress.

@ossobuco,
Optimism is good. So is patience. Hoping the antibiotics continue to alleviate the problem and that the progress continues. Give Katy a few love pats from me.
