@Fil Albuquerque,
Would it be constitutional Fil for a company to dismiss workers who refused to be kitted out with "wearable technology"?

@maxdancona,
I'd prefer that marriage equality first be achieved, and let people do without it if they please.

...oh Spendius you are worth your weight in gold !
(who else to come with that up?)

Here in Portugal Constitution is now subjected to political interpretation...I don't know any longer if the Constitutional specialists are becoming political experts or if political experts are talking to much with Constitutional specialists...how does it work over there ?

@Deluno,
Why don't you define marriage equality for us, because...

Our upper house (parliament) passed the bill in debate last night. It's on its way to becoming law here now, that same-sex couple can legally marry.

Going back to one of my earlier remarks: I don't like the thought of a woman referring to her "wife", but I would not object to her referring to her "spouse".

But don't ask me to justify that, I don't think I can. Just tradition, I suppose.

That was an interesting observation on your part, McTag. The introspection that went into it came through loud and clear!

I felt more comfortable with it than with your earlier remarks...and I don't think I can explain that either. Thanks for posting it.

There are many reasons to not allow homosexual marriage. Homosexuality is not a lifestyle that the state should support because it is a symptom of a sexual deviant and it promotes weakness in the individual, both mentally and emotionally. Homosexual marriage is detrimental to the economy as well as being a threat to children because they would be given full rights to adopt and the rate of pedophilia in the homosexual community has reached epidemic proportions.

@Shadow X,
We get it, you're a low-life hate-filled bigot. Now go and play on the motorway.

@izzythepush,
No actually I can back everything I said up with facts.

Whether you like that or not is not my problem. But you keep slinging ad hominem attacks and not addressing the issue.

This thread was supposed to be about why homosexual marriage should not be allowed. I don't hate homosexuals and I'm no more of a bigot than someone who doesn't like pedophilia. I disagree with their lifestyle and I know that it's exceedingly harmful on society in many different ways.

@Shadow X,
You're not backing anything up with facts. Any "facts" you come up with will be from some extreme religious website or other far right hate merchants.

As for ad homs, you started it when you slandered an entire community.

Homophobia is every bit as loathsome as any other form of bigotry. And that's what you are, a bigot.

@JTT,
It's called fishing... no need to reel in my line if I haven't gotten a bite. Guess I really shouldn't expect you folks to know a lot about fishing.

Let's just take one of my assertions... that homosexuality as a rule (and granted there are exceptions to every rule), but as a rule homosexuality makes one weak... weak both emotionally and mentally.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1316782/US-gay-community-reeling-epidemic-suicides-teenagers.html

Citing a survey which states that homosexuals are 4-5 times more likely to commit suicide than heterosexuals.

Now we have to ask ourselves... Are we to believe, as homosexuals and their advocates would like to tell us, that this is because homosexuals get bullied sooooo much more than the fat kid, the anorexic girl, the nerd, the emo kid, the tall kid, the short kid, the ugly girl, the stupid kid, the deformed kid, the kid with the hairlip... etc etc?

That's simply an absurd argument. All of these groups get picked on, on a consistent basis while growing up in school... yet we have a statistically significant difference in the rate of suicide among homosexuals than heterosexuals. It's a well-known fact that bullies pick on those who are weak. A bully does not want to pick on someone that is strong enough, mentally and emotionally to stand up for themselves. This high rate of suicide clearly indicates a weaker emotional and mental state by the homosexual. Now, whether the weaker emotional and mental state is because of the homosexuality... or they decided to lean more towards homosexuality because they were weak emotionally and mentally is debatable.... what is not debatable is that homosexuality and a weak emotional and mental state are inexorably linked.

Fishing on the Internet, as a rule, makes one weaker both emotionally and mentally. And since Internet fishermen usually start out as weak, both emotionally and mentally...you know where that leaves you!

@Frank Apisa,
When you can show that internet fishermen kill themselves five times more than those who don't, you might have an argument.

And I don't blame you for voting down the gay rights leaders pictures that are advocating for pedophilia and other deviant lifestyles... I wouldn't want to address reality if I were you either.

And if you think what I've said so far is hard to hear... wait till we start discussing the pedophilia epidemic in the homosexual community.

Ahhh...you apparently think "killing one's self" is the measure!

You do have problems, Shadow.

@Frank Apisa,
Well do you have anything else to justify your position about fishing on the net? Unlike you I can back my claims up.
