What Region said. If you post a question, you're the one who can award the red ribbon to the answer you liked best. Just click on "selected answer" next to the poster's name. As Region said, the feature of "selected answer" is available only on threads you posted as a question, not ones you started as a discussion.

Yup. Click on your new choice for "selected answer" and the previously awarded red ribbon will -- poof!!!-- disappear.

I saw that thread, dale, but it's so many years (more than 15) since I used a Mac that I don't know the answer to your question. I work mostly on my Sony Vaio laptop and the operating system is quite different.
