How can I not see them by default?

It's easy enough to get rid of them by thumbing them down, but the thread titles alone make it awkward to browse this site at work.

@Kolyo,
Nice question. If it were a tag, you could probably delete the forum. It isn't a tag.

Thanks, Tsar.

I thought someone would probably suggest that.

That technique just isn't working for some reason.
(At least it doesn't work when I try it.)

@Kolyo,
NSFW is a relatively new feature. Perhaps there are bugs still to be worked out of the process.

Write to the tech desk and tell them exactly is happening to your case:

@tsarstepan,
"When I just asked support for an answer to the same question, this is the reply:

"The collapse preference only works on individual posts that have been marked NSFW.

It does not work on topics that have been marked NSFW. Those topics remain visible in the New Post and New Topic grids."

@Ragman,
Great. An option without a choice.

If it's marked NSFW, we're stuck, but if it's tagged, it doesn't show. If it's both marked and tagged, we're still stuck with it.

@roger,
FWIW, The collapse preference should be able to work on ANY post that have been marked NSFW. Why not? Are they any less objectionable to those that don't want to see them at ALL? Frankly, to me it's a featrure that smells pretty dysfunctional.

@Ragman,
Well, duh, folks - sometimes it's only one post in a thread of many pages that is a threat to be seen on some computers at work.

I suppose I think it would be good to be able to choose blocking if it is a thread as a whole, or only the odd individual posts, but I can see why it is arranged the way it is presently (if I understand it).
