I'm starting this thread to house a collection of neat ideas I find around the internet. You're welcome to add your own found treasures.

Here's a great way to use that wasted space under a stairway:

Tired of having to clean up all that dust when you drill holes in the wall? Place a folded a Post-It note under it to catch all the dust particles. Have multiple holes to drill, just move the Post-it catch-all.

@Butrflynet,
Good idea.

I may add my own, if related.

Oh, wait, do we get to criticize?

I thought the first photo was dumb.

Do you want only ideas?

@Butrflynet,
that's quite good - esp if you've got a dog that needs someone's scent to be comforted

I once saw automotive seat backs covered with an old sweatshirt. The neck fit around the headrest. Clever, but most wear seems to occur on the headrest and the seats.

Just put a hoodie on it backwards, bubba.

@roger,
I had t-shirts for seat covers for mmmm Egbert. We discussed on a News of the World thread back in Abuzz days. I liked those cotton t-shirts - they got washed regularly and felt better than nylon-blend seat covers when my skin had to touch them in the summer.

I like this idea a lot. It would work for a lot of things, especially stacks of linens and pillows.

Think of all the strawberries or herbs you could grow in this.

I used to have something similar to this in the backyard of one of my houses in California, except the bench platform had brackets on the ends that fit onto the edge of the planters.

I'm going to swipe this lazy susan idea for our pantry. We're forever rearranging cans to see what is shoved into the corners.

@Butrflynet,
I was reading an article from one of the Myth Buster guys about how he organized his toolkit to provide "first-order availability." Meaning that he didn't have to move one tool to find another tool.

Our pantry is horribly cluttered. I'm considering moving everything to drawers so that we have at least second-order availability on most items.

@Butrflynet,
This is very cute. I love the tennis ball being made into a holder. I play tennis, so there are many tennis balls I'm not using. This is a nice way to recycle my tennis balls.Thanks!

This could be a great water feature for a property with a steeply sloped yard.

This would be great for starting seedlings in the Spring. You'd just need a sheet of plastic to cover the structure and act as a greenhouse or protect them on cold nights. The lower boxes would be drip watered by the upper boxes.

I'm going to swipe this idea.

http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/63085_400777533350934_841185823_n.jpg

Sure beats the cost of those expensive wrought iron or heavy gauge steel pot racks.

http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc6/188817_437673002977734_856170703_n.jpg

I like this idea. Here in NM, I'd probably change it and use a metal pipe rather than rebar so the bowl of water on top can water all the other pots below it.
