You see, I had people coming around today, but I had to cancel because I developed a terrible gastro this morning.
This is depressing...but that's not important right now....
I know I can't eat.....and don't want to....but someone gave me a bottle of Tanqueray gin yesterday and it's nesting beautifully in the freezer. Would a little gentle gin make me worser?
Perhaps if I mix it with peppermint tea.....
Sigh.
I had people around last night. I do hope I didnt poison anyone.... I did put a bunch of new plants in yesterday, and I am worried I accidentally ingested some cow manure. I do hope I haven't developed some form of cow stomach....being able to digest cellulose or whatever it is that the caecum helps you digest would be good, but I don't think chewing cud would be welcomed in human circles.
I think this is a digression thread or something like that.....
@dlowan,
You ate cow ****?!
Bunny, did you already have the gin?
Hope you're feeling better.
What a meshugina.
@dlowan,
During the plagues supposedly, gin soared in popularity and was thought to have powerful medicinal benefits. All it actually did was make them not give a **** about dying from the plague, so theres that.
I say go for it.
@dlowan,
some of the herbs used in the production of gin might be helpful (recipes vary by manufacturer), i know juniper the key ingredient is a good anti inflammatory, though again, the medicinal actuality might be more along the lines of, i'm drunk and don't really care about my arthritis
@dlowan,
Tanqueray gin is good for anything whatever that ails one.
@dlowan,
Under the weather and over-reacting (I hope)( for dramatic effect to stimulate discussion). Your thoughts of inhaling or ingesting cow manure are making me a bissel queasy. Feel better.
@nextone,
bissel. . . is that like a vacuum?
I happen to like vacuuming slightly more than ironing, and you?
@ossobuco,
osso, Bissel is yiddish for little. Eat dahling. Have just a bissel.
Well, for lack of all this good advice I had no gin yesterday.
I didn't EAT cow manure willingly...a wind came up when my mouth was open....made me feel a grossel sick also! not that I mean it necessarily caused this illness, but it was horrid in both thought and reality. Powerful good for the garden, though.
Now the sun is way too far below the yardarm to have any gin.
But I do like the way you people think!
How wonderful to see Liontamer!
@ossobuco,
Vacuuming I do a bissel, use a Hoover not a Bissell. Necessary housework, don't enjoy it, but don't want Poly smothered by dust bunnies.
@ossobuco,
I knew Bissel made brushes....do they really make vacuum cleaners?
My Dyson died, you know.

This whole thread is getting ein bissel meschuggener.
@dlowan,
It is nevah too early for gin.
Make some lemonade or ice tea and then juice it up for a toast to Monsieur Andre's birthday!
@ehBeth,
Thankee for remembering, Bethie.

Of course, it's Merry's birthday (or was that yesterday, our time). He's not drinking that gin, so you should!
Happy birthday, Andy.
@margo,
Thank you kindly for the kind wishes, margo. It's the 26th; don't know what day of the week you folks have now. And you're right -- I ain't gonna drink that gin but Tanqueray used to be my very favorite brand and I certainly don't begrudge it to anyone else. Enjoy!
