@Walter Hinteler,
That's why I only used safety razors.

@roger,
How did you know the color of my new washer?

I was torn between white and avocado.

@chai2,
"I was torn between white and avocado."

Oh the angst, Oh the humanity.

@nextone,
two years ago i lost my T.M.X wristwatch - i had had for ten years .
so i bought a new one .
two days later i was doing my laundry - strange sound from the washer :
click - click - click .
i thought the washer was acting up - instead it was the old t.m.x taking
a bath Cool .

" takes a licking , keeps ticking " - so now i have two of them -
one on my left wrist - one on my right ( comes in handy when two people ask me what time it is ! ) .

@nextone,
"My dear: the noise, the people...!"
(nothing to do with Chai's washer, which I envy even though I can put a comforter in my own, still it sounds great). I say this just because your phrasing reminded me of that quote.

I first heard it in the Brit tv series, Glittering Prizes, written by Frederic Raphael, a favorite writer of mine. But that was only a quote by a character (Tom Conti's).
Here's a link I just found* -
http://mrgnomeisblogging.blogspot.com/2008/07/my-dear-noise-people.html

*actually I found it earlier and said this on an old post, which I just copied.
Confused yet?

@ossobuco,
My dear: the noise, the people..." The great British understatement, or should that be adequate understatement?

True, dat. It's deep, man.

But....the light and Roger were meant to be! it's all cosmic and stuff.
