so, what is the deal here?
parents want to protect their kids, teaching them about strangers, building their confidence, esteem, validating their feelings, worrying that some incident will scar them for life, yadda yadda yadda. Yet, once a year they get to plunk their kids down on the lap of someone who is terrifying them, all for the sake of a picture of them screaming their heads off.
Oh, it's a joke, except someone's not laughing.
don't get me wrong, some of those pictures are funny, but then again, it's probably a good thing I don't have kids, per my signature line.
