To all my dear friends on A2K, I thank you from the bottom of my heart to make this a very special day for me. Izzie has gone out of her way to start this thread, not just for my birthday but also because she knew I needed a few laughs to lift my spirits.

Just to put you all in the picture, 3 days ago during a routine visit to my Cardiologist I was told I needed further open heart surgery on the 10th January, when they will give me my 5th bypass artery and do some repairs to a heart valve which is playing up.

It's a risky operation and I ask you all for some moral support. If successful it hopefully will enhance my quality of life which presently isn't all that good.

May I also mention that out of the blue I received a visit from Found Soul and her fiancée this afternoon, that really overwhelmed me. Thank you dear friend you really made my day.

With my son and family by my side it will be a great Christmas. I wish all you kind people a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
