So, I've been lurking around this forum for a few days now... I guess it's about time I get to introducing myself and posting, eh?

I'm Pancake, and I like to think I'm pretty crafty. I write and sew, although most of my sewing is done for novelty purposes (i.e costumes). I'm a bit of a shopaholic to, but I hope I make up for that by being strategic about it.

It's really boring to have a thread where I just say hi, and then people say hi back, so let's play a bit of a game! You pick two things, and then we brainstorm what you could do with them.

So: Tape and Chop Sticks
- play Freddie Kruger by taping them to your fingers
-build a chop stick sky scraper
- make a little volleyball net for dolls
-short lived jousting competition

@pancakebattery,
A dog's leash and a frisbee.

- portable plastic halo
- safe (albeit not too far) discus throwing
- confuse people who ask about your new pet, "Pentathlon"

- provide chopsticks for horseback riders in Arezzo's jousting competition.
- that should be funny, the piazza slants fairly extremely.

Like jespah's take..

@pancakebattery,
Hi there pancakebattery! I share your crafty tendencies, nice to have you around.

Tape and chopsticks. Hmm.

Can the tape be duct tape? Then the possibilities are virtually limitless. So limitless that I'll impose a holiday-decor limit:

- Make decorative stars. (White and/ or silver duct tape used, either sparingly for a more "tasteful" woody look or bling it up with the silver.) Can be more spherical or more flat. Could totally make a tree topper.
- Make a wreath. (It would require a lot of chopsticks but totally doable.)
- Make a non-edible, non-perishable gingerbread house (lots of multicolored duct tape needed here for details).

Hmm need to get back to making dinner, that's a start though. And welcome!

@sozobe,
That's it! Eule Gibbons used to tell us some parts of a pine tree are edible, so make sure the chopsticks are of pine. Tape? Well, you can always use tape to make the meatloaf hold its shape.

Doesn't always have to be decorative.

Provided you had a fairly endless supply of each, you could make a great escape ladder. Bundle up the chopsticks to make sturdy rungs and braid the tape for the sides.
