Mr B is at the Bears game. That usually means they're going to lose.

Nuts, I'd forgotten I settled on Pitt and was all happy about Cleveland winning.
Still, good for them.

GNR like Guns N Roses? Why would you do that? They had their flash in 87.

Yes, Guns N Roses. I am not a huge fan. So why did I do this? Because my wife is a huge fan, and this was her birthday present.

When I said it would be a "blast," I was trying to psych myself up.

The doors opened at 9:00 p.m., so we were standing in line at 8:30, trying to get up close to the stage. That's right, we had tickets for standing in front of the stage, because that's where my wife wanted to be. 3 1/2 hours later (and one mediocre warm up band later), GNR took the stage at Midnight (which was 1:00 a.m. Arizona time, BTW). The show lasted 3 frikken hours, and ended at 3:00 a.m. (4:00 a.m. Arizona time). I was standing for 6 1/2 hours to listen to Axl Rose sound "slightly" like he did in the 80's.

I am the best husband ever.

@Ticomaya,
I expect you will be repaid in spades. Nice job taking one for the team.

@Ticomaya,
As Kipling would say, "You're a better man than I am, Ticomaya!" But the dividends should be significant.

@ehBeth,
Bieber booed in native Canada by football fans

"The Toronto crowd booed Sunday when the 18-year-old pop star's face popped up on the JumboTron screen. They booed when a host spoke his name. And they booed as he took the stage and throughout his medley of the chart-topper..."

The Rams screwed me for the 2nd week in a row. They don't show up against the Jets but they can knock off Arizona on the road..

@Rockhead,
Bieber was truly an odd choice.

I understand trying to expand the appeal of the CFL to younger audiences but I don't think there's much overlap between Bieber fans and any potential football fans.

Gordon Lightfoot was a good choice but he's like 180 years old.

They need to find someone that will appeal to a slightly younger demographic and not turn off existing football fans.

K'naan might have worked, but he's pretty strongly affiliated with soccer.

@JPLosman0711,
For me in Fantasy game, Kuerlein missed a usually easy one for him; he was one reason why I was for St. Louis.

I wouldn't boo at Bieber, but yes, an odd choice.

@JPLosman0711,
The A2k fantasy football game - http://able2know.org/topic/194707-1

that gets quiet as an a2k thread, mostly an announcement, and depending on those who want to play, may be potentially divied somehow into more than one yahoo game, but that has never happened, or even close to it. Once the season starts, we are busy paying attention to our survivals on the game on yahoo.

Spades here plays a lot of them.
