@ossobuco,
I wasn't whining. I was simply describing.

I'm trying to persuade King John to use the spreads next year because I think it is more fun.

Are you against fun you leetle ol' stick in the mud you.

Have you never heard of evolution?

The first human to get out of the trees and stand upright was a pest to the other participants.

@ossobuco,
I was wrong, I meant Poor Soul (Jackie Gleason).

@McGentrix,
Thanks for clarifying. No problem. I peeked over the top of the monitor in your direction but I still couldn't see your expression. Wink

@spendius,
But I wasn't intending to be rude. Yesterday I scrolled through the sight on my handheld which I do not post from and I recalled seeing a bit that I had forgot to add the points for the Monday night game in the message I sent RJB. So, I nonchalantly looked over the monitor at my better half and asked for for a random score.

So, I now have a complete lineup for the week! My answer was intended to be humorous. Showing that my wife's concern to my A2K postings mean less then nothing to her. Like she cares about my picks...

But, being the competitive guy that I am, I take my role in sports prognostication far more seriously. But, this year, I seem to be off my game a tad. I think I am still reeling from winning the Baseball league...

I think the better route would be to start a separate thread betting the spread. I would likely post in that one as well, though I doubt many of my picks would be different.

Leave John's game alone. We like it this way.

@McGentrix,
I know what you mean. I like competing against myself and love being able to feel as if I can prognisticate. Little do we realize these games are decided in advance in back rooms by crime bosses/bookies with the cooperation of NFL owners..like WWE Wrestling matches. :drunk

I have zero interest in the point spread. I like the contest the way it is and trust that is how it will remain. After all, it is pretty popular and many of the same folks have been participating in it for many years as is. :

@McGentrix,
I would like that - said so a long time ago; if it were separate, I might even get interested. (I hardly think Spendius understands sport more than I do; I'm still working on it, he just thinks he knows.) Here his push is a poor defense against a great quarterback.

You should stop. King John isn't gonna change the game, regardless of your impassioned pleas and arguments.

At least he shouldn't.

This was clear to me. I am being as kind as I can to state that RM struggles to spot humor sometimes. Not a slight against him ... it is what it is, and we know what it is. Cool

@Ticomaya,
Really, this has all been cleared up awhile ago. My funny bone is intact. Sometimes when I post I am multi-tasking and focus can be off a bit.

GNR like Guns N Roses? Why would you do that? They had their flash in 87.

Okay. I will take your advice Tico.

But remember that it was farmerman who pointed to the problem with John's set up. And he was right to do so.

spendi's last thread was in '06.
it appears he's forgotten how to start a new one...

I would also like permission to switch my pick to the 49ers. If I am denied I'll understand.
