@ossobuco,
If you read Setanta's and farmerman's posts you should not need any explanations.

@spendius,
You are being obscure.

That I have a science degree amazes you?

I don't care all that much about degrees, another whole subject.

OK, tell me your education background, kiddo... it will help us all understand American Football.

@JPLosman0711,
No need, Spendi and I know each other moderately well. There is an aliquot of liking on both sides.

An aliquot of liking? Hmm.
Rhys, Cowdoc, Ragman and Edgar and JPLosman are 11-1 and have Baltimore tonight. Johnboy and Wandeljw, also 11-1, have Pittsburgh.
The week's winner will be determined Monday night.

Those are the most bizarre uniforms I've ever seen! Are they throw-backs? I've been watching football for a very long time and don't recall ever seeing anything quite so wild.

@JPB,
Steelers throwback unifroms were worse (or as bad) last week. They came from way back in time before I followed football or recall seeing pics of them play. Silly marketing idea.

@Ragman,
Just now heard that Gronk has a broken forearm. Sad
He broke it while attempting to block for the extra point. Cripes they were in an unloseable scenario at that time. So he'll be out for 4-6 weeks. What a poor use of such valuable talent.

Hernandez is still having some injury issues so they'll be hurting for two of the most effective TE in the game. Smooth move Ex-Lax

@realjohnboy,
Bookies overdogs are 11--2 with SF tonight.

Troy Brown, an ex-Pats man, was on the panel in the Sky Sports studio in London for the two games shown here. Snazzy tuxedo too. The panel fills in when your ads exceed the legal limit in the UK. So we see a great deal of them. Neil Reynolds is the Limey pillock. He sometimes gets quite sentimental.

Kevin Cable, the main man, asked him about the difference today in the NFL from when he played. He was very polite but in plain English he meant that today it is approaching ballet.

And it is easy to understand why after court decisions regarding tobacco products. After all the NFL did and does know the risks to players and has enough dough to be worth going after. The comments came after Mr Reynolds mentioned some ineffective tackling.

I have noticed that the support holding up the NFL goals is padded with cushioning material. Our "choir boys", as Tico called them, have to deal with sturdy unpadded and unforgiving goal posts and there are two of them in an area where there is a large amount of desperate action.

I have noticed that the more sporting action approaches ballet, as with WWW, the more "swinging dick" tones, physiognomic presentation and vocabulary are operative.

Superbowl betting latest-- Texans 5--1, Pates 5--1, Packers 15--2, Ravens 12--1, Giants 18--1 and 25--1 and up to 1000--1 (Raiders) the rest.

@Region Philbis,
Either it's that Hernandez is a little rusty still or hasn't quite recovered fully from the high ankle sprain after game #2.

However, it'll be a bit scarey if the during the playoffs they'll be without Brady's security blanket, Gronk.
