I have a ring that has an inscription on it as follows:
FVlMlNA (the last letter is an upside down V, I put an A there and the lowercase l's are just straight lines the T below stands by itself)
T
Does anybody know what this says? it is an ancient roman military ring I have a picture and can email it if neccessary. thanks steve
@skinner,
the T stands alone on bottom left hand corner and an A in the top right corner the inscription is written diagonally from upper left to lower right corner
Just throwing this out . . .
The Twelfth Legion was known as
Legio XII Fulminata
Fulminata means (roughly) "armed with lightening".
It seems there is also an online fantasy role-playing game called FULMINATA.
@George,
Wow thanks george that makes alot of sense it has XII engraved down the side of the ring. the t and the a complete the word fulminata you are the man. steve
