A short film collaboration by Dali and Disney

I found this same video some months back and posted it on the radio thread. It is a bit of a shock to see these two men in collaboration.

I quite like it, and find both elements of Dali and Disney to make an interesting mix. I wonder why it took over 50 years to finish it?

Both Dali and Disney have been dead for some time.

I've noticed that some scenes play up to some of his famous paintings and extrapolate from there.

Pure sensuality. I enjoyed it, but these kind of pieces always seem incomplete to me. It's like they always leave you anticipating the final parts of a great mosaic by the the end.

Any speculations as to why it would have taken so many years to complete?

Sometimes a work will run short of inspiration and be shelved - later to be taken up and worked over until the pieces fall in place. Just a guess, in this instance.

It would, of course, been finished by others, due to the fact both are dead.
