Hosmer-Lemeshow test: number of groups

I'm running some logistics regressions in Stata with a Hosmer-Lemeshow test and wanted to make sure how to determine the number of groups for the test. It should be at least 3 and conventionally 10 is good as far as I know. Any help would be appreciated.
