soserene, Politics is like love, it just makes you want to hit yourself in the head with a hammer, best to leave it alone.

Political debate is circular by nature, and for me, a huge waste of time and energy.

I am fairly active in local politics and somewhat less so in regional politics in my area and the best analogy that I can come up with to explain what it is like being involved is the following:

1) Find a large, solid brick or concrete wall.

2) Bash your head against the wall.

3) Repeat step 2 until blood is pouring from your eyes, ears, nose and mouth.

You WISH being involved in politics felt this good.
