See Nader's news conference tonight on C-SPAN
If you missed Ralph Nader's press conference announcing his presidential candidacy this morning, it will be rebroadcast tonight on C-SPAN.

During the news conference, he took questions and greatly expanded on his ideas for fixing what wrong with government in this country.

What Nader had to say reminded me again of why I've admired this man for so many years.

hes really gotta dig deep to come up with reasons to run that dont sound like e g o.

I like Ralph too, I admire his past works and consumer
advocacy. However , that approbia behind, it doesnt mean I want him for president.

Don't misunderstand me, I will vote for the Democrat candidate to get rid of Bush and his cronies.

I don't live in California any longer where it was safe to vote for Nader the last two elections. In New Mexico, the vote was much closer in 2000 and in 2004 I'm forced to vote with my brain instead of my idealist heart because of the damned Electoral College system.

Kerry still has a chance to win my vote.

But he should understand that he needs to earn it by showing some political guts. His recent political acts from supporting to war to decrying the rights of homosexuals to marry aren't earning points with me.

I am very glad Nader is in the race. I think he is good for our democracy and I will vote for him if I need to.

If the Dems understand this then Nader has done his job.

And if voting for Nader means Bush is re-elected? Collateral damage in some noble effort?

On a lighter note, I love Nader claiming, in the statement above, that his campaign would have a "light-hearted" element. The man doesn't have a humorous bone in his body. Talk about self-important!
