A character in a low-budget film I'm producing needs an inhaler, it's just a prop so it doesn't even have to work, but I can't seem to find one on eBay (at least not one that looks like a normal inhaler). Where do I find one?

Find someone who uses one for their asthma and ask them to save you one of their empties.

But usually they throw out the inhaler when it's done?

Why would it be illegal? You're asking for a used (empty) and/or broken inhaler. I also don't believe they're controlled substances like morphine, vicodin, or other heavy duty pain medicine based prescription.

I believe -- but I'm not100 percent positive -- that an empty inhaler, containing no prescribed substance, can be purchased legally from any reg. phramacy.
