They started with a conclusion, then worked backwards from there,
discarding information that didn't support that conclusion and exaggerating
data that did. Great methodology.
And their conclusion was, again, a sort of insanity. To believe them, you
would have to accept that Iraq was a terrible "imminent threat" to the
continental US and/or the middle east region AND, at the same time, accept that invading Iraq and deposing Saddam and the Baathist regime would be a walk in the park and the Iraqi citizens would shower us with thanks.
