How long does poison ivy last?

its pretty much gone or very close - we just moved and closed on our new house yesterday and I didn't (with the craziness) even use the prescription lotion yesterday and all seems fine. I will do as the dermo suggested and use once a day for several days and hopefully be clear of whatever the heck I have.
