On 22nd November, 1946, the greatest hero in American history, proudly voicing the thoughts of the free world, uttered the following words, which were heard by millions of people across the United States and Canada:
"We feel that every man accused of a crime, regardless how strong the evidence against him, deserves a trial."
Clearly, in the light of the treatment of prisoners in Quantanimo Bay, those in the White House, the Administration and many voters no longer believe in or subscribe to this safeguard of everyone's human rights.
Possibly the greatest tragedy of all took place when those without such beliefs or integrity were permitted to seize the Presidency?
p.s. Can anyone guess who spoke those words (not a politician)
