From that list I can see Edwards mainly because it is so recent.
Madoff, he will be despised until he dies. He just hurt too many people, very much like Ken Lay from Enron. Hate until he is dead and quite a time after.
Casey Anthony, not worth it, she is too caught up in her party girl self to even care.
O.J. I stopped thinking about him a long time ago.
Mel Gibson, the man is mentally unstable. I don't care for a lot of what he says and does, but he is not on my most hated list.

I don't like Tiger Woods for what he did or the arrogance he has displayed over the years. I would be happiest if he suddenly lost all ability to play golf. Not a physical or mental illness, just no golfing skills.
Michael Moore, I have despised him for several years. Don't know if death is worth it though. Kardashian and Hilton? Could not be bothered with them.

Usual people on my hit list are weather forecasters, brain dead news anchors, and whoever produced the local ABC news last night.
8 minutes of showing the idiotic space shuttle being placed on the Intrepid. Then the moron says that nobody will ever be able to see inside this thing, that's part of the agreement with NASA. In other words it could just be a piece of metal hollowed out inside and not even the real space shuttle.

I would like the useless waste known as our President to get on his jet and do an Amelia Earhart and just fly off and disappear never to be found. Not his wife and daughters, just him. Maybe he can take Mike Bloomberg with him.

While we are at it, get rid of Alec Baldwin. He keeps being a jerk and people praise him even more. I despise him.

Giada De Laurentiis. Her fake smile is well beyond annoying. Watching her the other day, it's amazing, the only time the smile leaves is when she shovels food in her mouth.

The NY Post is a right wing tabloid, isn't it? And the list of allegedly most hated Americans was the result of an online survey, and we all know what kind of wing nuts inhabit the Web.

Oz, he grew up there.

Michael Moore can be annoying (even to me as a liberal) although he is a damn good story teller. But even if I were a conservative I can't imagine that he would be on the the top of any list. Bill Maher and Dan Savage are more strident.Ed Schultz and Keith Olbermann are more annoying.

I am really surprised to see Michael Moore ahead of any of these.

I think the NY Times list is a pretty good starting point, and have no quarrel with it. However, I really do like Sturgis' list & modifications - a result much more to my taste.

George, there is a very big difference between the NY Post and the NY Times.

What diff? The price of the paper? Both line the bottom of the bird cage equally well.

I thought the same on Tiger Woods - I mean do I like the guy for what he did - no, but to hate him seems odd. Now I can understand his wife hating him and hitting him with golf club.

Michael Moore I see simply because he makes so many controversial movies and political to boot.

I don't hate anyone on that list,
tho IF Jerry Sandusky really did sodomize those boys,
then he deserves many years in prison. I don 't hate obama.

At the time, I was resentful of Truman ordering captured Japanese weapons
to be given to the communist Chinese, betraying our ally, Chiang Kai-shek.
I hated Stalin & Hitler; did not think much of Himmler.
My sentiments toward Roosevelt did not reach the level of hatred.

I hated the Rosenbergs and the Kennedys, very, very intensely.
To a lesser extent, Lyndon Johnson was abhorrent; hard to take.

During the Clinton Administration, too many of my friends
emotionally hated Clinton; I did not join in that passion.
It was not worth that again; too much wear & tear on my nervous system.
