The real reason Congress is fighting for tax breaks for the top one percent, is not trickle down to the corporations in exchange for favors, its that they too are in the top one percent --- Congress voting for their own tax cut not only takes a lot of gall, it is an illegal conflict of interest..
You always have it in your power to admit that you are powerless.

@Rickoshay75,
Rick,
Are you actually suggesting that someone with substantial power is more interested in what is in it for him/herself than for the general welfare of the citizenry and humanity?
C’mon!
Where would that come from?
@Frank Apisa,
He is obviously uneducated. Ask any politician and they will tell you they have only the interests of the public in mind. Making sure that big business moves jobs overseas creates jobs here in America and wealth for politicians are just a side effect of helping large corporations get larger. Democracy at work.

Of course everyone looks out for number one, but the most powerful force in the world doing it at the expense of the weak and helpless is more than survival, it's legal torture.

Could be! In fact, I would vote you are correct.
But just about EVERY great power ever to exist on this planet has done the same thing. My point was that doing so is a human trait...it can easily be argued that it is the norm.
One can logically argue that not doing so...is abnormal.

Unfortunately true. After 2000 years, the proletariat are still slaves to the
Patricians.
