@joefromchicago,
What a dilemma.

I can imagine you lying awake at night gnawing on this existential bone.

I'll take one from column A, two from colmn B. You don't like that -- tough ****. [Btw, totally agree re: the oxymoron songs thread. Were there any oxymorons on that? I stopped monitoring it and certainly didn't wish to post on it.]

I'm flattered that you cherish in your mind this picture of me gnawing on a bone, but, as I keep reminding you, I'm not that kind of guy.

A scene best left unimagined.

@joefromchicago,
I'm afraid I have to burst your egoistic bubble. No flattery was intended and I hardly expressed that I cherished any image of you, let alone one involving you gnawing on a bone.

You must be a homophobe chicago joe.

You're at least sexually obsessed, but your protestation assures us of your homophobia.

What's wrong with one man gnawing on the bone of another?

@George,
I know you mean for the savagery of the image, not that you are a homophobe George. Cool

@Finn dAbuzz,
Are you sure you've read Joe's posting accurately? Are you sure that there's no reading in what you want to see, Finn.

Wasn't it you that jumped all over Ceili for this same thing?

@joefromchicago,

Yet in every thread like that (and I'm not exaggerating -- it's every thread), someone will contribute an example that simply does not fit within the topic. For instance, if a thread asked for a list of the best movie westerns, someone will invariably respond with something like West Side Story -- because, you know, it's about the west side and all. Really, people, I'm serious here -- you're pathetic!

So I've reconciled myself to the fact that, although I like these kinds of threads, it's clear that the rest of you all suck at them. My dilemma: should I make a big deal about it if someone tosses in a blatantly irrelevant example that violates the contours of discussion set out by the original post, or should I just ignore it, assume that the poster is a total retard, and move on.

You should moan and groan about it, then scold the offensive twits for having violated the intended nature of the thread. To be most successful at this, you must then invade other threads and go off topic at random intervals and if questioned on doing so, laugh and do it again.

So is there anything else about square dancing you want to know?
