Easter is near; religious or not, are you doing stuff for it?

@ehBeth,
We just do not have parades. The only one really is the 1st of May. But that is political and sure no fun. The new cloth were for spring and summer.
I have seen parades in USA if I were there for Easter.
We hang decorated Easter eggs too on branches.
It is fun to decorate with the happy colour of yellow.

@saab,
We have a LOT of parades in Toronto. Greek Independence Day Parade was a big one recently. There are 4 or 5 parades during Pride. There are at least 15 parades a year in our little India. Caribana is huge - usually about 1,000,000 people go to that one. You'd be hard-pressed to find a weekend that doesn't have a parade. In August, there are often 3 or 4 a day - everyone has something to celebrate. Toronto is such a multi-cultural /multi-religious city , you can't avoid the parades (and the road closures).

We're going to color eggs tonight for the Easter egg hunt tomorrow. I have three Easter Baskets hidden away until tomorrow morning.

Haven't decided what to have for dinner tomorrow.

We sort of honor Easter, as a holiday of peace and fun for kids. But, with no kids around, we essentially just let it pass.

@edgarblythe,
That's how it works for propaganda, Edgar. No sense dishing it out when there's no crowd.

@camlok,
Qe hve Easter Sunday , noting big, we will probably brbwcue a portion of a piggy's rib cage and eat them with sweet taters n a side salad. Tomorrow is Easter Monday, its a bit fishing rodeo day for Amish . Im taking a truckload of Amish kids over to the Octoraro for some trout fishing. They have three or four holidays where they get a two day period of low work. (They only have to feed and milk their cows, noting more)

Easter, Christmas, and similars, they all should go for atheists. Frankly, it looks rather silly.

I'm about to set off for Mass. (Yeah, I'm one of those people.)

The clan will gather at our house for dinner and everybody will get Easter
baskets. Well, colorful bags actually. There's less -- but better -- candy in
them these days. Shaunna will get some of those horrible Peeps she loves
so much. The evening won't be religious but more of a celebration of
Spring.

Happy Easter to all who celebrate it!

@George,
The same to you.
I really wanted to take part of the church service this morning.
Woke up at 2 am and could not go back to sleep. When the alarm rang at 04.30 am I was just too tired to get up and be at church at 6 am
But I have taken part in many wonderful churchservices, but it depends on what denomination was close by.

The only thing we're doing this Easter is giving the kids a chocolate easter bunny. They don't need any other candy and they don't seem interested in coloring easter eggs.

Nobody but me and the wife. I doubt we will even mention it. But we will make ourselves a nice dinner.
