This man sounds like my husband - non smoker, exercised, social drinker - then got colon cancer in '07 and was dead two years later. That was 3 years ago, next month.
My 23 year old and 33 year old took it the hardest. They put him on such a pedestal that he no longer was the person i knew. I had to spend some time with the both of them in letting him become human, so they could let him go.
It sucks, really.
It makes me feel better that I believe Jay is in another place and time. Out of pain and probably on that second round of golf for the day . . .
