@margo,
I've spoken with edgar once, margo, but I was more worried about a storm hitting him than I was remembering his voice.

I would say it was more Brando than Wayne, as I recall...

@dlowan,
I can't shake the idea of Edgar sounding like Tuli Kupferberg (with a twinge of Texas mixed in)

(sorry Edgar)

I could not characterize rock's voice from that brief conversation. Not enough words passed between us. Razz

When you read posts, do imagine how some members would sound like?

If I've heard them before, my brain intones their writing in their voices and accents. If I haven't, it intones it in my voice, knowing that it's mine.

I've given up on that one. I've met about 30 A2K members in real life, and they always sounded 'off' when I first heard them talk. That being said, my voice sounds exactly like that of the evil dentist in Marathon Man:

@dlowan,
It's like hearing Mike Tyson speak for the first time (that is of course if you never heard him speak and knew little about him). You think you have an idea as to how his voice might sound like, then you quickly realise how your ideas were completely wrong.

@Procrustes,
Bill Bergey, a past middle line backer for the Philly Eagles was this huuge behemoth of a guy whose voice sounded like some little girl .

@farmerman,
I just looked him up on youtube and my expectations fell quite short. I thought he would of had more of a girly voice but perhaps as the years gone on, he's dropped a couple of octaves. I did however find something the opposite to Bill Bergey and Mike Tyson...

I'm not sure if this is faked somehow or... you know...

@Procrustes,
I've only ever heard the voices of a couple of local (Oz) A2Kers ... one in person, one on the phone.
So I've grown used to you guys "talking" in text. It could be hard to adjust from years of that.

@msolga,
It would be hard to suddenly imagine voices for those A2K'ers that you haven't heard, especialy after years of not really thinking about it. But after failures art mentioned hearing Om Sig David text as Dr. Doom, all I can imagine is exactly that.

@Procrustes,
Ha.
Does that make reading David's posts a better or worse experience for you? Smile
