@PUNKEY,
I wonder if $8.00/hr isn't a mandated state minimum wage up there.

Jobs like that usually expect one to 'run occasional errands', and kind of drop off the mail on the (on your time) way home. Pays twenty-five cents a mile.

I looked, and in 2011 the minimum wage in Michigan...

Michigan $7.40 $2.65 for service (tipped) employees. Minors 16–17 years of age may be paid 85% of the minimum hourly wage rate (currently a rate of $6.29 per hour). Training wage for new employees ages 16 to 19 of $4.25 per hour for first 90 days of employment.

Yeah, doesn't pay a lot, but the position really isn't asking for much.
Part time, 2 days a week....for a "growing landscape company" meaning small business who is finally big enough to need someone to answer the phone, mail stuff, file and be able to fill in the blanks on an spreadsheet.

For $8/hr proficient in excel and word means you can type in numbers and use spell check.

Everyone thinks they have a fast paced environment. An organized self starter means they show up and look for something to do.

Good job for someone with kids in school, who needs a few extra bucks.
