What's the good thing about Ben Mulroney hosting "e Talk Daily"?

He's not in politics!

There's this really funny Canadian Show, I like to watch on PBS, called, "The Red and Green Show," that has an Uncle, and his Nephew, and their Lodge.

Don't know Caprice since I never watched it, but I'll try to check it out if I think of it.

I do like Red Green though, lol!

Montana: Well you know Ben Mulroney is Brian Mulroney's son, don't you? And "e Talk Daily" is an "Entertainment Tonight" wannabe. Can't stand it myself. Very Happy

I have no clue Caprice. I've only been in Canada for 3 1/2 years now except when I was little and I never watch the show. I'm sure if I saw him I'd know who he was, but I really don't spend much time watching tv.

Brian Mulroney...you do know him though, right? One of the worst Prime Ministers of Canada! *heh*

Nope. I wasn't around back then and didn't pay attention to politics in my younger years ;-)

Trust me, he was one of the worst. Just thinking about him gets my panties in a bunch. (And in case anyone is wondering, I don't mean that in a good way! *L*)

I've liked Ben Mulroney when I've seen him lately. He seems to be finding a nice, self-deprecating humour in himself. I don't watch much t.v., but I'm another big Red Green fan. One of my neighbours is an occasional guest on the show.

I've been watching various shows created by Steve Smith for over 20 years now. The guy has a great comedic sense. And he's so right about duct tape. Everyone should have a few rolls of it around.

Ben Mulroney is not using self depricating humour, he's just being acurate!
Is there anything 'good' to say about BM?

hmmmm
he's not ugly
he seems to get along well with his family
he has a sense of humour
i don't think Ben's a bad guy

i'm not gonna turn on a tv to watch him, but i'm not slagging him, either.

I'm just saying we don't need another Mulroney in politics. I have nothing else (good or bad) to say about Ben.

kjvtrue: That's because you're in the United States. As the thread topic indicates, this thread is for Canadians and anyone who watches Canadian t.v. (which is not just the CBC). It doesn't mean those who aren't Canadians and those who don't watch Canadian t.v. can't participate, but you will likely not know who I'm talking about if you're in that category. Just as your post states. Smile

I do remember watching a show we imported from way up there:

Quote:
Seeing Things. Co-producers David Barlow and Louis DelGrande inflected the cop show to produce a protagonist, Louie Ciccone, a shortsighted newspaper reporter with glasses who has visions of murders he would much rather ignore, doesn't drive or know which end of a gun is which, is rescued by a flying puck, a cake and often by his wife Marge. Yet the series had a strong moral centre, a lot of culturally specific topical satire and also worked as a good whodunnit.
