@pratyusha,
Use a PC for the long emails.

I DO: Stop texting and go back to using the fone
the old fashioned way and CALL people, instead!

@pratyusha,
Nobody's interested in receiving long emails, so don't bother. On your mobile, or any other way.

That probably depends on what is IN the message that was sent by email.

U can get an answer faster,
if u CALL. That 's what fones r 4.

@ehBeth,
Depends on "long" I guess.

But I regularly send and receive regular-length emails on my Blackberry -- 250 words, say?

@sozobe,
Hate 'em. We mutter about them a lot at work. Our vp tries to keep hers under 20 words. Pithy can communicate a lot.

@ehBeth,
It can for sure.

The long ones are usually to/ from deaf people. We got used to using "pagers" (as they're still called, even iPhones and Blackberries) for communication and often use them instead of email/ PCs. (Mostly depending on time sensitivity. Many deaf people will get an email sent to their "pager" within 15 minutes or so, but I know a lot of people who don't check their email more than once a week.)

They're not all that long mind you, but it's not terribly unusual.

the longest (and only) texts i've ever sent from a phone was HAITI (twice) to donate money to the earthquake relief fund

@pratyusha,
I donĀ“t text long e-mails on my mobile.
I do it either as e-mail over my PC or even better
write a nice long letter.
