Poll: Cool Canadiennes

Of these cool ladies from that cold country in the North, who is your favourite? Born in Canada or to Canadian parents.

The Innuits from Nunavut have over 50 different words for "Pardon me" and 77 for "Im sorry"

Have they been genetically traced back to Britain, do you know?

edgar posted this and I thought I should share it.

The Haida First Nation tribe elder was asked by his people if it was going to be a cold winter.
He looked up at the sky for some signs, but not having the knowledge he called Environment Canada for a prediction.

The fellas there said it would be a cold winter so he went back to his tribe and told them to collect extra firewood for it would be a cold winter.

As October arrived he again called the service and they said it was going to be even colder than they had forecast.
So the chief had them scavenge even more firewood.

Finally he called in early November and the Weather Service said it was going to be the coldest winter on record.
"The Haida are collecting a shitload of firewood"

Anyone else know about Darknet (2013)? Really creepy stuff. 。。゛(ノ><)ノ

Any ideas if it's merely a single season show or are they making more of the seasons?

No real questions. Just curious how common these slang words are actually used in our norther neighbor of United Canada of Awesomeland.

@tsarstepan,
I love this list, especially the first item, keener. I always wondered how one translates the German word Streber into English --- no English-speaking country seemed to have a word for it. Except Canada, it turns out. Speaking of English by the way, you can tell a US-American made this list because it doesn't contain any Canadian slang terms that are French.

some of the terms - like toque - are neither English nor French - they're just Canajun - used in English and French-speaking Canada
