I'm collapsing this thread on my 'puter. It has become an excercise in completely insane futility. All you nice people on this thread just keep feeding the two trolls. Why? I want nothing more to do with this idiocy. 'Bye.

I have to agree, for those and other reasons.

Let's review

We have 1000 posts

we have 10,000 views

we have the normal 1/10 post/view ratio indicating a lot of lurkers in the thread

We have had a very lively and wide ranging discussion

there is likely to be nothing else of note to add to this thread ever other than what ever jail term the state decides on

So....we have a very successful thread that seemingly has run out of steam.....and now you want to claim that there is some problem with the thread and that it is my fault and that is why it needs to end??

Thats is ballsy, but seeing as my mamma did not raise no dummy I am giving your claim only the attention that it deserves.

@hawkeye10,
But Hawkeye...

Let's be honest here.

Yes, perhaps your passion CAN NOT be seen by others in the way in which you intend. I now see where you are coming from and I get it...

But, your answer to Roger? It's not about how many posts, or how many people view a thread it's about "off topic" about a thread that rings true or rings to the heart of PEOPLE..

It's not about how they do not see... Live in a World of being closed... It comes with their heart... And, so the arguements being. I too have been in that..

Hense my comment about "I'd love to see a thread about a "just past" case that we can comment on the just.

ICE.

I think that's a fair call don't you?

My passion makes me a threat in this modern era
A threat to whom??

where most people have no passion,

That is an oxymoronic contradiction in terms.
HOW is it POSSIBLE that anyone can believe something without KNOWING that he believes it???????????

Assuming that it is true,
will u be good enuf to explain its relevance ??
HOW is the alleged fear significant????

I believe that if you are not passionate about life then you are already part dead

On another note, I 100% agree with that statement.

Too many people go through life, with no passion about anything in life, yet if they find 1, they will find alot...

Then you also know from experience that those of us who are still fully alive make the walking dead nervous....

I have said on A2k several times that one of my aims here is to try to wake some people up. It is always a challenge.

@hawkeye10,
Mmmmm how to answer that.

I know as I was told by a very wise woman. CW? Being my other name which is the same persona here, and I've said this before..... "You can only help those who want the answers, who want help"... If you reach one with your replies it was worth it.

True.

1 out of 20,000? like I said it's not about numbers.

What I would wish in life, is that the word passion was on everyone's lips of something, anything.

But, let's remember we can't shove passion... BUT we can speak...

Perhaps not so wise, because the reality is that most of the time you can not show those who do not know the answers, they have to discover them for themselves. We can encourage, we can give hints, which in generally what I have done.

The point is more leading by example, as in " this is what being alive looks like, how about waking up and giving it a go, it feels GREAT!"

It is wise... Because the reality is some come to "vent" or get validation that they are right, they are not interested at all, in the truth... Oh that's what you are saying:) This is why I stated in a "help" thread if they listen not to my opinion but to "people's opinion" and actually hear it, all good... Often not the case... But, having said that, as they go through life, they may have heard just not listened... and come back and state the same.. It's happened.. years later.

Ah but only if you can make people see "something" that makes then think oh wow... Which is different than speaking your mind only...

Remember, passion is intense emotion.
I can think of some passionate guys that caused quite a lot of trouble in the 19OOs.
Eventually, thay lost.

@OmSigDAVID,
I think that i have defined that passion can make you go against the odds.

If you are passionate about something everything everyone says, will fall on deaf's ears..

However, unless you have passion in life? You can not succeed in any endevour as you just go through life in it's motions.

So passion is still an important emotion if not a major important emotion because you don't care what others think, which granted doesn't always work in your favour however, you have passion instead of walking through life, just following and being, living...

I'd rather passion .

You can take passion to alot of levels... Walking through life is limited.

@firefly,
Strange no one care about the dead man enough including the legal system to get him the help he needed when he was alive but we are going to now spend hundreds of thousands of dollars and ruin another man life to revenge his accidental death.

@FOUND SOUL,
Sorry but it is not enough because it is insane to have sick men and women in need of treatment by the tens of thousands rooming our streets and living in boxes and dying of all kinds of natural hazards relating to that lifestyle and then get all emotional about one such poor man who died in an accident,

Sorry but we are not going to check out or help a man who is at the edge of a sideway yelling at cars and looking like he might step in front of them at any moment.

But if and when he does do so we are going to punish the driver of the car that hit him if the driver had stop and had a few beers on the way home.

No interest in and no resources to aid the mentally ill homeless population but unlimited funds to punish it would seem.

@BillRM,
This is about a man who had way too much to drink, killed someone in a hit and run and then fled the scene of the crime. You keep trying to make it about something else, because even your addled frogbrain knows such action is indefensible.

You're only worried about it because it may affect you, you've obviously got no qualms about driving drunk.

I was thinking of the commies, the nazis & the fascists; I guess the Japs were passionate, sometimes.

Were the liberals passionate? I dunno. What do u think, Izzy???
