@msolga,
Frankly I am surprised that in this case David was enough of a chump to get sucked in by Firefly's word games. He is a Mensa member for crying out loud.

@hawkeye10,
Frankly, hawkeye, I'm even more surprised that anyone has gotten sucked into responding to your & Bill's dubious ongoing "defence" of the drunk driver.

@hawkeye10,
Oh I love a good debate!
But your side of this discussion isn't exactly brilliant "debating"....

I can be anywhere I choose to be on this site, same as you.
Every now & then I pop in here to see what outrageous & highly creative twists & turns you & Bill come up with.
I'm never disappointed. Wink

@msolga,
But do carry on, hawkeye ... not that you need any encouragement.

Maybe the dead victim of the drunk driver was wearing the wrong clothes?
They were probably too dark.
So how could the driver possibly see him?
Have you considered that angle yet? Wink

I am getting to be too busy with my business to have the time to work on helping people around here look at everyday events in a way different than what is continuously force fed them by power. It is always a hard climb up the hill to overcome the poor education, timidity and mental laziness that is so common these days, I wish Bill and anyone else who cares to give it a go much luck.

This may be one of you best posting efforts yet, hawkeye! Smile
Oh what will we do without your enlightened insights?!

Doomed to be sheep is the way it is commonly put......doomed to continue to be tools of those who are smarter than you, of those who understand how power works where as you sit fingering away at your computer with not the first damn clue.

I like word games; lifelong toys.
I also remain cognizant of my immunity from any harm.

@msolga,
Just one last thing (I'm in the process of cooking dinner for a friend who is coming over tonight & I need to pay attention to food right now)

Hawkeye, unlike quite a few posters here, I do not despise or hate you. I have never had you on "ignore". (But then, I have only one person on "ignore" at the moment. For excellent reasons. Wink Dead boring, mindless, far right drivel. )
And when you have something relevant to say in a debate, I listen.
Same as I listen to anyone else who has something relevant to say in a debate.
It doesn't matter whether I "like" them or you or not.
It is just when you & Bill come up with an endless stream of often completely fabricated "issues", like you have on this thread, that I become seriously turned off.
I can see that I am not alone in this. From various recent comments.
So I'm thinking that you would do yourself far more credit if you simply engaged in discussions, rather than trying to dominate them in any way that you (& Bill) can think of.
Sometimes, seriously, your comments & "arguments" are a serious turn-off to intelligent people.
Which quite a few of us are, actually.

I am skeptical that anyone can DOMINATE discussions on A2K
because posters with competing egos and inconsistent points of vu will be energetic in opposition.

Because all the times that I quote from someone else, and then riff off of that, is not "engaging in discussion" Drunk

You are making **** up in order to rationalize your closed mind, and I cant fix that.

@msolga,
I think, when people have a passion what ever that is in life, they will not stop until they drop.

Hawkeye I have stated "I don't like you" yet, having said that I think you know that I actually have since seen your point of view..a few times and have retracted that, not that that matters.. But there is a passion there.

And, it is a passion... who wins? No one perhaps... Or you win if, someone actually understands your logic and thoughts, but on a Forum that could be a numbers game.

What I do NOT like more so... Is the seriousness of these threads that appear to get sidetracked into a debate between people over " possibles" instead of facts. And so they turn into "proof" and arguements... I'm not saying for one minute that, that can not occur... Rather I see how the thread turns... Surely there could be a thread that belongs to such "proof" instead of situations that are sad, have a tale to tell that we'd like to just express our thoughts? That is not directed personally, rather an observation.

Again, I would love to join a debate on a thread where a person had been sentenced, and whether or not from the "facts" that was justice...

I see it pointless to guesstimate on probabilities, although interesting....

For the record Hawkeye... I have found that I have seen some good investigative thoughts, given I have also come from that Industry although not in a legal sense rather, investigative... I find that interesting when I read the possibilities and then, I find it interesting when solved what was right and what was wrong... Maybe, the inquisitive mind, or the fact I have read true crime stories all of my life.

I also think, that all, should continue to be themselves and fight their passions.

I have to say now, that Bill? Do you fight your passions or do you have a yearing to win? And only win, not against your passions but rather, because you want to win?

I see the rest, fighting for their passions.................Firefly, David, Hawkeye...

But, then...I may not get a reply from that, as I think I am on Ignore:)

It would have been slightly more easy to take you seriously had you not decided to try to speak for the state of mind of others, if you had spoken for yourself.

You & Bill have.

And yet if I asked you to point out one thing that I have said in this thread that has been proven wrong you would come up with nothing, though I think I was wrong on two relatively minor points. You dont like what I have to say, and so you work to discount it, but because I say so little that is verifiably wrong your brain has to do some gymnastics to get there.

@FOUND SOUL,
Quote:
And, it is a passion.

My passion makes me a threat in this modern era where most people have no passion, when many people dont have a clue who they are and what they believe, and when so many people have the fear in their hearts that the world as we know it is about to blow up.

As usual I go the other way, I believe that if you are not passionate about life then you are already part dead...one of the walking dead as I believe it was how Alan Watts put it. I am passionate about quite a few things, and if that makes people nervous or causes people to not like me I really dont give a ****.....I intend to be alive every single day that my heart is still beating.
