LOL well we know that most of those arrested own or could get a loan of a car from someone however not always as cyclists had been arrested for DUI in Florida!!!!!!!!!

Is that really a conspiracy on the part of the prosecutors to ruin people financially?

If even 50 percent more defendants decide to demand a jury trial the system will melt down so the conspiracy is to force plea deals one way or another.

@firefly,
He looks like he was such a happy down to earth person.

How tragic, maybe he couldn't sleep and went for a ride... How tragic that he was initially called "homeless" ...Assumptions shirt me.

How horrible for his Mother to lose her life partner and her son....

@DannyVboy,
What I was about to post -

Glad to see the support for JCboy and the thread. Most of us here are really glad he is posting more these days, and that Marco is, he's wonderful too, speaking as he does for the non-loon sector. Welcome to the St. Pete's folks posting too.
This is a diverse site, you'll run into cranks.

To answer DannyV, we've never counted.

Well I had been known to go for walks and cycle in the AM if I can not sleep myself and would be annoyed if a drunk hit me however was his bike lit or not lit up.

Particularly to lose them within days of each other.

This is Barry Lancaster's father's obituary,
http://www.daily-journal.com/archives/dj/display.php?id=484685

Both the father's and son's funeral services seem to be scheduled for the same time on Friday, but in different locations, unless there is an error in the info or I am misunderstanding it.

@BillRM,
How many more drivers would it take to melt down the traffic patterns?

How many more phone calls would it take to overload the phone switches?

How much extra demand does it take to cause a brown-out?

How much extra rain does it take to cause a flood?

It's not a conspiracy... it's just the way the system has evolved. Call the whaaaambulance.

@DrewDad,
Cute however 90 repeat 90 percents of all persons in the criminal justice system does not see a jury and this had not been the case in past generation where if memory serve me correctly it was 30 percents or so having jury trials as recently as the 1960s.

All it would take is a move back to 15 percents demanding their rights and no more justice system as we now have it.

So everyone who is a stakeholder in the current system worst nightmare is that happening and they all will do whatever it take not to see that happen.

@firefly,
As a Vet, I'd say his service has to be at a different location however given a 2hr time slot for both, should allow people to see both, how very, very tragic.

When things un-fold there usually is a story behind it. His Father was obviously an honorable man, he obviously admired him, it must have been very hard on him.

@BillRM,
And who are the stakeholders?

The tax payers who would pay for all of the new judges, courtrooms, recorders, bailiffs, etc.?

Be annoyed?

And, besides that, who gives a rats azz if his bike was lit up or not lit up, have you no empathy at all, no compassion at all? Geez louise... You are answering my post? Pertaining to what a tragedy with who was right who was wrong?

Go eat your wheat bix... And, work out what's wrong with this world with people such as yourself, going pftttt so what he's dead now was he riding safetly or not.

@FOUND SOUL,
A two hour time slot?
I still have to read the piece, but geez.
My parents are buried at a national cemetery. They both had tough deaths. I can't imagine rushing off to another ---
