Sure I do know as we are taking about the short comings of our so call justice system including DUI cases.

Nothing and I mean nothing is as cut and dry as you would like to pretend it is times after times and that include DUI cases.

Plea bargaining and overcharging to force plea bargains are the same in DUI related cases as it is for any other crime.

Oh thanks for telling me that I am overwhelming you with facts and forcing you to retreated to the crazy claim that DUI related cases are not the same as any other charges in the system and subject to the same abuses as any other crime.

That's what you might be talking about, but that's not the topic of this thread. Are you that confused about the topic?

Right, and in DUI cases, just as in other cases, the state must have evidence to support all charges.

In the case we are discussing--the actual topic of this thread--Thom does not appear to be overcharged. In his case, he faces extremely harsh penalties if he goes to trial because of the nature of the crimes he is charged with. Don't you think he would prefer a plea deal with a shorter sentence rather than risk a trial?

Marco, it sounds like this incident has created something of a rift in your local gay community?
That's unfortunate, if so.

It’s been read by most in town. Only a few of Thom’s close friends were upset by it, most people just read along. They all heard this before reading it here but Morgan got a few threatening messages. I was surprised they found it here. Nobody knew the two of us posted on this site until that thread.

Yeah and I'm still not sure how they found it. If they found it somehow by doing a google search they would know Morgan by the photos he's posted in other threads. this is a small community and Morgan has a habit of posting places we go, probably not a good idea.

If you Google Thom's full name, this thread comes up in the search results.

If people had been looking for info about Thom, that might be one way they'd find this site and this thread.

Why are people threatening Morgan? He really hasn't said anything that should upset someone.

Yep a few from here and a few from facebook. I call him a friend ho! he's reached his limit of 5000 friends on FB but he's deactivated his account until this whole Thom mess is over.

It's only been a few of Thom's friends. They are not happy because they know what he posted here is true and they can't figure out how he heard it, but everyone talks in this community.
