@vonny,
THANKS!

The photo is probably around 2 years old, we were in Melbourne, need to do that again, just hop on a plane, $89 not expensive, go over for lunch even, and come back Smile Love spur of the moment decisions. Obviously, it was cold, Melbourne is like that Smile I think it was in our winter, given I have a leather jacket on lols.

5th Nov... How you feeling Von? Nervous? Don't BE ... we be thinking of you and holding your hand.

TRUE

Sturgis you are fashionably late as usual Wink
I do love the fact that you can type what ever, when ever, doesn't matter.

Oh, introvert , extrovert, doesn't matter. Did that song reach past Aussie Land?

Dutchy answer my question about the bird to bay thing... Wink

@FOUND SOUL,
CADDY
This is my car. 1978 Eldorado Cadillac. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-laughing018.gif
I don't drive but it's still my car.... Got married with it ... Ya' know? Bunch of tin cans dangling from strings on the back, white letters written on the windshield 'just married'.
http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5506/9319219749_fb5383cce0_z.jpg

Got a few good clunkers around.  Good call on the shotgun rock.
That photo was taken earlier this spring.
I do a lot of sewing and I haven't worn a pair of pants in many, many years.
All skirt.
Lots of designs. Do you like that one?
Most of the ones I make are that style.
I didn't get a chance to gather my cookware in one spot for a photo-op today. But, I will get on it tomorrow.
Hubby grew up and was a firefighter and paramedic for a while. Worked for NASA, alligator hunter, farmer, lots of neat occupations. My occupation has always been artist. (picture makes my nose look big, I think.Not really that big.Pfft.)

Vonny, this reminded me of you. - http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Battle/playing.gif

Foundy, you ever go to the tepapa museum? Is that how you spell it?
Very windy place. I got family there. Lucky you, costs me much more to catch a plane and then I have to spend a full day traveling backwards in time. http://www.runemasterstudios.com/graemlins/images/lol.gif

You're pic Witch, is fascinating. You most definitely have a strike of class to your being and might I add you are very beautiful.
Von, when do I get to see you? Still thinking flowers in the hair pic. Maybe? (;

Dutchy, bummer to read about the oil drilling. I can't stand the whole shebang. Big sea shepherd fan here. There are so many alternative ways to fuel our lives yet, in your words, those ideas are pitched to deaf ears. I can't say to much on the subject or else I'll get riled up. >.< Makes me think like this - http://www.sherv.net/cm/emoticons/guns/big-machine-gun.gif Lol.
Yeah, firearms are the norm here. Can you tell I found the emoticon website?
Dutchy, this for you ...

@vonny,
To answer your question Foundy, have seen many of the starts of the Birdwood rally from the Bay. This yearly advent pulls in thousands of spectators admiring the hundreds of fully restored old motor cars. They are the pride of local enthusiasts having spent untold hours and money faithfully restoring the old cars.

Vonny, walking is still slow and the progress is not what I like, running out of breath very quickly. Around the house ok but longs walks around my favourite aboriginal "Dreamtime" sacred lands behind my house is still out of the question.

Sunshine I love you being an artists and doing those beautiful paintings. I personally like the Old Masters. Have spent many hours in the Dutch Royal Museum and admired the many Old Masters there. Spent a whole afternoon sitting in awe in front of Rembrandt's greatest masterpiece "The Nightwatch", the details of this work got to be seen to be believed, unforgettable.

Foundy how can you mention Thai Tuna unless you've eaten them in Thailand on your recent trip. We only eat Australian caught and prepared Tuna. Son always throws a few Tuna steaks on the barbie when we visit him. I prefer the prawns and the garfish though. Christmas here we come, name it and it will be on the menu. Will take pictures and make your mouth water.Smile

Wondering what Sturgis is up to, missing in action at the moment, come on partner give the girls some curry.

Waves from downunder to those up above. Dutchy.

Always love your thread, Foundy, never a dull moment!

Yes, Dutchy, where is Sturgis? He is a worry when he disappears like this.

LOVE the photo of you with Foundy - looking good! Sorry your walking still not quite what you'd hoped for, but - let's face it - you are lucky to be walking at all after all the problems you had during the early months of this year - you really have done wonderfully well. Breathing problems - the effort of walking is bound to take it out of you still - give your body time to get used to the exertion - you were bedridden for an awfully long time!

Sunshine - why the Smiley battle? Or am I seeing it wrong? You see me as hitting little Smileys over the head with spades! Okay - perhaps you're right ( Exclamation Exclamation Rolling Eyes - who am I to argue with a gun-toting, hard-living female person on the other side of the globe! Very Happy ) Photos - naaaah, not yet. Perhaps one day Cool

Skirts? 100% - or a good 98%. I rarely wear trousers - skirts for me every time - long and flowing skirts too. Started wearing them way back in the 70's when they were popular, and have never outgrown my love of them. Make my own? Not these days, although I like dressmaking - just don't seem to find time nowadays.

Foundy - loved the video clip - that child so deserved to be soaked! Very Happy

I once owned a Mercedes, that was used on a farm and a fiat. My current car is a silver MX5 convertible didn't want to go over the top, just because I sell real estate. So far, I've been hit twice, without knowing, more than likely a four wheel drive, who couldn't see my little broom broom.. I mean brom... Sooo I think I'll trade it in and get a four wheel drive, be able to put my displays and the dogs in it, much more practical.. Love old cars!

It is awesome to watch the bay to birdwood hey Dutchy! They in-deed spend hours upon hours, cleaning them, even though they are in their sheds, the spiders like to come out to play Wink

http://home.nzcity.co.nz/news/article.aspx?id=176508&fm=newsmain%2Cnrhl

I've been to New Zealand, but I was like 14 Wink I remember it well, playing in the snow with a t-shirt on, driving down one way streets and stopping at traffic lights, a man offered my Mother to purchase the newspaper, the lights went green and my Mother stuck her head out the window and yelled " gotta go, next time".. as my Father drove off Wink Yep, I think I have her personality Wink

Thanks Daisy Wink We are all beautiful I think... but I do love the classy look, ask Danny/Von Smile There is a bit of European in me, but I also love the skirts, boho look and wildchild look. Would love to continue seeing more of your drawings, you are awesome at it, do you sell them? If not why not? E-Bay? You would make a fortune..

You forgot to answer me about your husband smiling whilst standing outside a burning house Smile And, and, is that your house behind the Cadillac? Lots of questions I must be a morning person Wink

Ah, Von, any more photos of your darlings ? It's good to see them here, love to see more of yours ..

Dutchy - if the darn Tuna is swimming in Thailand and crosses over to Australia and Australians catch them, and sell them, then they are friggen Thai fish, caught by Australians LMAO. Wink XX

MISSING
you already! You are always so busy on A2K, dashing hither and thither, posting on games threads, answering crossword questions, chatting here, and on Yabber-Liner - don't worry, we'll just mark time until your return. Laughing

We're thinking of you in hospital - yet again! Dutchy, you really must leave those poor nurses alone - they've spent an awful lot of time, this year, running around wards and along corridors, pursued by you! Rolling Eyes

Sorry about your eyes, Dutchy - horrid to have problems with vision. Hopefully it won't be long before you have the cataracts removed - one eye or two? (Sounds like I'm pouring a cup of tea out for you - sugar, Dutchy, one lump or two?)

I shan't type any more - don't want to strain your eyes! Bye bye for now!
