@FOUND SOUL,
You told Daisy that you'd seen the joke on facebook with illustrations, but I didn't understand which bit was joking and which serious - or if it was all a joke? Confused

@FOUND SOUL,
Rustic, pine, herbs on ledges, and so on? Sounds like my kitchen when we first moved here - adored it, but with my grasshopper mind, I get bored of just about anything! It was rather nice though. Twisted Evil

I moved on to a Victorian theme throughout the house - loads of brass, velvet and oak - even an aspidistra in a massive container! Again I became bored. Rolling Eyes

Latest incarnation was minimalist - well, my version of minimalist. What it boiled down to was the entire house decorated in pale creamy colour, and entirely carpeted in creamy beige, totally refitting the light fittings for modern chandeliers - and so on. Idea

Hence the more modern kitchen. No, it'll never be as streamlined as the one I posted, but it's much sleeker than it used to be. Let's face it, easier for me to get round too - with my walking difficulties it needs to be obstacle free! Laughing But I still have fond memories of my 'country kitchen' - sooo gorgeous!

I didn't even read the first bit, only the broom bit Smile And, for sure, both sounded as if they were a joke, that be Daisy Smile But, you got me going because of the Church thingy and money so I went off on a tantrum:) On my own oops Smile

@vonny,
Note my new avatar? Wink

My kitchens have changed throughout my life too, I remember lace?

Well I don't think in the kitchen persay ... But!

Our floors are white washed pine, cool. We want a timber bench top, not sure about the doors etc, probably just basic white, but maybe antique handles ... Given what I do for a living, I change my mind like the wind Wink Oh and there has to be either a red slash back, or stainless steel not sure : ) Pots handing from the ceiling would be cool Wink Kinda a bit country and a bit trendy .

Mmmm here is a few, not bad Smile

I love the last one, but with our floors, timber bench tops, pots hanging Wink

AVATAR

Hilarious! You AND tsarstepan - when I log on and see my profile, I think wow, there are new people on there - all change - must do mine sometime, only surprised that I've kept the white peacock for so long!

Kitchens - I still love the slightly more traditional style of kitchen no.1, not keen on 2, love no.3 - I guess it's my favourite - love the dogs on the floor - they MAKE any kitchen (even if they do get in the way)!

@vonny,
HILARIOUS.

Great pic. Lmao! Very Happy I texted hubby the bare bottom dress one last night and people started texting it to me.
So, I texted it to a few others and they texted it to him. Laughing
Tonight, I'm gonna send out the utter lady and pumpkin butt... See how it goes. Lol. Surprised
... The broom part was a joke. I honestly do have a grandmother that lives in Brazil.
She's a nun.
And she does have seven children, although uncle Jim is adopted.
They were all with the same man. She's been a wild activist all her life.
She may be a nun but she can get going on rants too. Mr. Green

... You guys are making me jealous with these beautiful kitchens.
My kitchen is as country as country gets but, it's tiny. I hate it.
Must be skilled at balancing things and precariously perching items upon items. It looks great and cozy when it's clean but cooking takes all sorts of talent.
I should take a photo of my cast iron setup.
I love cooking in cast iron ... Mostly because it makes clean-up a breeze.

... Okay, should probably go for now.
Stay happy, funny and fun. Wink

Hey my kitchen is small too, you make do with what you make do with but on a good note would be cheap to renovate ; ) Love to see the pots.... PLEASE.

My favorite old car is a ModelA Ford.
They are amazing. Takes talent to drive one and great knowledge to keep one in the garage. The one in the pic is my friends car.
Remember when I said I was digging in the garden and found an old lock box full of documents from 1920? I didn't mention it was found next to a buried Model A ... http://www.runemasterstudios.com/graemlins/images/lol.gif

I love that song. I can play part of it but it gets complicated. Can you read music?

Has anyone seen this yet?
It's and exercise to relax the left side of your brain.
When you look at the photo you see the man looking at you.
Stare at the picture and try to relax your gaze and you'll see his profile.

I'm supposed to ask you guys what you think of Owsley Stanley.

@Daisy Ryder,
Hiya Sunshine, lovely post and photographs once again. Your self portrait is tops with me, seems to represent yourself pretty well, not a woman to be pushed around. Will have to keep that in mind. Smile

Never heard of Owsley Stanley, read his biography which states he was an American from Kentucky. Was well known in the 1960's in the San Francisco area for producing masses of LSD for the flower people. He was living in Queensland, Australia at the time of his death in 2011 from a car accident.

Why are the Oil Companies so powerful that they can do what they like to upset the ecology? Presently they are proposing to drill for oil in our pristine clear Great Australian Bight where the best seafood in the world comes from.

It is of grave concern for my son who is in the Tuna Business and his fellow fishermen. The Tuna migrate from Indonesia in the summer months around Australia to our east coast. The fear is that this migration pattern may be interfered with by the oil drillings deep in the waters of the Bight.

The whole fishing community is up in arms and have asked our Federal Government to intervene and stop the Oil Companies from going ahead. So far the requests have fallen on deaf ears as the Government is reluctant to act and upset the powerful Oil Companies. That's my vent for today!

All you guys have a great weekend.

@Dutchy,
Owsley Stanley - he was a very weird dude! Supplied LSD to the Grateful Dead, amongst others, and had some strange views on climate change. I'm trying to post an interview with him from 1990 - here goes ...

MUSIC

Thanks for the sheet music - ouch, you should hear me play! Dreadful! I took piano lessons (forced to) for years as a child, and hated every moment of it! Nice piece of music though Cool

Photo - you really are into guns, aren't you - I ought to pretend to be clever here, and say "Gosh, is that a AR 15 Colt LE 6940 you are holding?", but I know absolutely nothing about the subject - Rolling Eyes

Storm - it wasn't too bad, but I'm sad for all the trees that have been felled by the power of the wind. So sad. And so many wild creatures have lost their homes. Not an easy life for them, poor little creatures. Our own trees are safe, than heavens, would hate to see them go Crying or Very sad

CARS

I know about as much about cars as I do guns - very little! But a very ancient gentleman, who used to live nearby, had a mid-30's Ford until just a couple of years ago. Wonderful old car - it had real personality - which is more than a lot of cars have nowadays. Something like this one -
