Another photo - a sleeping Megan, taken a few moments ago. In a way, this photo is to mark the end of Megan's period of mourning for Harvey. She has finally accepted that he isn't coming back, and has taken over his bed-space - the space always allotted to the senior dog in this household. She used to try and steal it, would be told off time and time again for trying to take it over, but when he died she no longer wanted it - even when we offered it to her, she refused. Treats and kind words wouldn't tempt her. Until last night, when she just walked over to it and lay down on the carpet. We put her bed there, and she slept like a log.

Can see myself telling him to massage my shoulders why I lay on the sunbed, haha. Nice!

Aweee, that's really good Von. Kia has done the same with Missy's little bed that she slept on in the lounge, she now owns it when Rawaii isn't playing with it and it makes me smile, like she now again is the boss, but also, a closeness really to them both, via that bed.

Strikes me odd how nobody ever goes clamoring on about getting to have my face (though I think it might be a little complicated for Foundy to explain the beard and mustache).


I oh I e ow ooh ee oh I... these and other sounds made when trying to deal with strangulating ambient pain.

Infections 1 and 3 are apparently healing (at least on the surface) swelling of right leg still scary. Last I saw it that way was before Nick came to visit when I was in a hospital some years ago. He looked at it and advised the medical staff immediately that this might be a DVT. He was right.

As to swimming. NO. I don't swim, never have. In school I was excused from swim class by changing schools. (hard to commute from New York City to Rutland each day). Went to the YMCA and even YMHA to learn, never did. Week after week, through the bitterly cold winter, never could get myself to jump in. Additionally at about 10 I nearly drowned to death (as opposed to drowning to life? ) at summer camp in the pool. Found out I couldn't walk on the pool floor in water that was higher than myself. So no swimming for me. I get the salt from the saline solution which is used to clean the wounds (yeah I know, if they were cleaned then why the infection). The wounds themselves get a medicated honey. They tried an iodine based topical at one point but I became quite ill from it. (much the way I did when I was forced to take potassium supplements. Ended up tossing those away they made me so sick)

Damp and impossibly chilly here with a stiff wind from the northeast which is frosting my bones (much of the flesh has vanished in the past year from lessered eating, hence my inclusion of ice cream. Even the doctor agreed when I saw her this Tuesday past. She also recommended that I eat fries and burgers as well as other high calorie, fat laden foods. Don't fret, my cholesterol is low, always has been even when I was 40 pounds heavier and eating all manner of 'dangerous' foods. The big trick is garlic. I use garlic regularly and there is evidence that garlic helps lower cholesterol. Besides that, is good genetics.

I too nearly drowned at 11, at a summer camp trying to help a girl that fell off the raft.. She pulled me under and then tried to climb on my back to get to the top I surely thought I was going to drown!!! I like being on water not in it, or walking in it, but at 41 degrees? I'll jump in it

They are called Manx cats. Their father is a solid white Manx cat with bright blue eyes ...
Wild Tom cat from a town over.
He's worth a couple thousand dollars ... Maybe I'll catch him someday?
Manx usually aren't white ... Like albino creatures they don't usually survive.
A very interesting breed.
