@vonny,
Rainbow Bridge:) You know, I had never heard of that term until little Missy passed.. Then all the well wishes, same was said to me. She had, had a stroke a couple of years back, so she had trouble as well Smile

I know this sounds weird, but it's true. When ever an animal was about to pass, even ones I have picked up off the road, I have felt this strange tingle in my hand as I off course, held it....... That has to account for souls of animals leaving as well Smile He is at the Rainbow Bridge.

Goodness -2 degrees? I don't like the cold either, but nor excessive heat, like today..........42 degrees, hope my car air con works that's all I am saying.

It's normal to dream about loved ones and pets who've died. In part it's probably due to the sadness one experiences with the loss.

It's also a way for us to communicate with the deceased. One soul speaking to another.

@Miller,
Miller.

What if you have always done that, but your heart is broken? So, you close it... And, say good morning but stop looking for signs, stop doing what you used to do, run your hand over where they "were" where you did for a while feel tingles in your hand... until you felt they left.

I feel 2 in 1 week one 17 may have made it harder for me than any time in my life, because I agree with you.

I feel like I now need to say sorry Miss.

I just feel.

@FOUND SOUL,
I had a dream about 2 lost dogs, last night...When I went to bed...And I was petting them, as they were laying on my bed...As well as talking with my grandmother...Ask God to give you a dream of your lost pets....And it will happen...

@FOUND SOUL,
Run your hand over where they were - that's so true! And talk to them - see their shadows and feel their breath on your face - but they're not there. It helps to talk though and to feel and remember. No dreams yet - wish there were! Lots of love and warmth from you, Spades and Miller.

@vonny,
I had a new Color for Missy for Xmas Smile Her old one I naturally kept.

The cat came in yesterday without his, grrr. I looked over at Missy's new one and it clicked... Now Bigsy is wearing Missy's new color, it's cream and he is ginger, so visable. Now when I pick up bigsy, I'll feel missy .... And, this morn, I will run my hand over where she slept Smile Felt a bit ya know last night, it happens.

See their shadow..........Mmm have you ever looked up at the clouds vonny? I often see the shape of her............... Smile

R ............Really.

@FOUND SOUL,
S - sunshine of course!

As a child I used to lie in the grass and read the clouds. So many stories of mystical creatures and magnificent castles in the sky. Frightening sometimes, with dark dragons crossing the spiralling towers - but magnificent at sunset when dark purple and red shapes said goodnight.

@vonny,
I think we are extremely capable as a child, of having a vivid imagination Smile I can relate to that. Mind you, my imagination was over-loaded, as a child, walking to school and seeing this huge Easter Bunny, crossing the lawns.. I think my Mother thought I was nuts, if I now look back at that thought, I crack up laughing at myself. If I can't laugh at myself no one can lols.

@Miller,
I've had 3 miniature Poodles in my life time. The 2nd one, Macho Baby died aalmost 9 years ago. He had developed a brain tumor and as a result he started to have behavio rand physical problems . So I had to have him put to sleep at the vets.

I cried and was very sad for a long time. I then went about finding a new miniature Poodle, which I eventually did in 2004, when he was 2 months old. This new Poodle goes by the name Sammy and he will be 9 years old this April.
He's very smart, but has several problems. He has thyroid problems and of course skin problems. But he's a real little doll and very, very smart. He's also got very sharp teeth .

My advice for what's it's worth is to try and find a new pet, with whom you can relate and be happy. I've known several people who've lost their pets and positively couldn't go out and buy/adopt another one, their love for the deceased pet was so strong. That's understandable.

@Miller,
From what I have read...Poodles have the most intelligence of any dog...Then Collies...Then German Shepard's....And G.S. have the most intuitive thinking of any dog...

I can understand that also...Me personally? I would wait a bit...Then adopt another...

@Miller,
Aweee.. I was actually a cat person originally until Missy. Samboy a couple of years ago, ran up the stairs had his dinner, then cried out loud, could not move his back legs, and I won't go into detail, same thing, 11 had to put him down at the vets. I understand that feeling, saying goodbye, sorry.. But, I truly think animals know, they are in pain and they are at a place to stop it.. They know. If it is any consolation Miller through this pain, as I said goodbye he licked me.. They truly know.

We too have decided, given, I know.... we have a diabetic 9-10 year old husky and a basset hound, 9 who just got through chemo with cancer, that ... NO more dogs............until later.

They are our companions for life. And, definately be it soon or be it sometime later, we aquire another little shirt Smile We never forget our babies, goodness no.. Each one is special but often, I just see something little in the new little one that reminds me of the old little one Smile

Dermatitis. Isn't that such a norm with dogs. Is that what he has? Haha.. Sharp teeth .. oh well better to keep chewing with huh.

I agree Miller and Spades, like you "shelter" not from a pet shop.

But in my case, with two that in the near future we will also loose. We will sit tight and try to find a bundle of joy that represents all of the ones we have lost.

Our cat , Bigsy, I have posted photos him is hysterical . D just loves him though he is allergic to cats, he makes him an indoor cat. He knows how to handle the dogs and does some strange things, we swear he is a dog, I mean we know he is a cat.

True story, once when I was asking D to massage my shoulders (I also have an injury) and he did and I went OW....................The cat went loudly "MEOW" and came over to me... After he left and same thing happened. LOLS.

@XXSpadeMasterXX,
Yes Smile I remember you have a cat Spades Smile Isn't he ginger as well?

Well personally, it will never, ever, happen but I wanted a spider monkey Smile Imagine lols.

I will post a picture again of Mr Bigs.

I just realised also ((((all)))) that, the reason why I am reserved this time, is because I do have a dog that just went through chemo, in remission but has arthritis bad is 9, and may get the cancer back any time... And, Kia my darling Husky, diabetic whom I care for 6.30am and evening daily with an injection, may have muscle loss...... arthritis..... and UTI.. so we are preparing ourselves yet again.... they are at that stage in life, for their problems.

I think that is why I am just going with things at present, in knowing...........it is what it is. Love is love, so much of it, memories Spades are "priceless" absolutely..
