@Miller,
Aweee.. I was actually a cat person originally until Missy. Samboy a couple of years ago, ran up the stairs had his dinner, then cried out loud, could not move his back legs, and I won't go into detail, same thing, 11 had to put him down at the vets. I understand that feeling, saying goodbye, sorry.. But, I truly think animals know, they are in pain and they are at a place to stop it.. They know. If it is any consolation Miller through this pain, as I said goodbye he licked me.. They truly know.
We too have decided, given, I know.... we have a diabetic 9-10 year old husky and a basset hound, 9 who just got through chemo with cancer, that ... NO more dogs............until later.
They are our companions for life. And, definately be it soon or be it sometime later, we aquire another little shirt
We never forget our babies, goodness no.. Each one is special but often, I just see something little in the new little one that reminds me of the old little one
Dermatitis. Isn't that such a norm with dogs. Is that what he has? Haha.. Sharp teeth .. oh well better to keep chewing with huh.
I agree Miller and Spades, like you "shelter" not from a pet shop.
But in my case, with two that in the near future we will also loose. We will sit tight and try to find a bundle of joy that represents all of the ones we have lost.
Our cat , Bigsy, I have posted photos him is hysterical . D just loves him though he is allergic to cats, he makes him an indoor cat. He knows how to handle the dogs and does some strange things, we swear he is a dog, I mean we know he is a cat.
True story, once when I was asking D to massage my shoulders (I also have an injury) and he did and I went OW....................The cat went loudly "MEOW" and came over to me... After he left and same thing happened. LOLS.
