@FOUND SOUL,
LoL...No, my cat is black and white mixed...But after you asked me that...I now remember exactly what your cat looked like...So thank you...
I don't think one can ever prepare oneself for the loss of a pet, no matter how much one tries. We've had five Labrador Retrievers and one Labrador X since we married; always try to have two at a time. The first two were from breeders, but after that we adopted - from shelters or, in Harvey's case, from a person who no longer wanted him and knew we loved the breed. Every death has hit us hard - two from cancer, the rest from old age. Every dog was special and every dog different, with big personalities and vast reservoirs of love.
Harvey, who died on 5 Jan, was under six months old when he was, quite literally, brought to our doorstep. He was born with dysplasia, but it never slowed him down until nine months ago. We still have Megan, another rescue 'baby' at five months old when we found her. She's nearly ten now. Her problem is a genetic allergy to just about everything and anything - after years of trying to find solutions, we regretfully allowed her to be put onto steroids - worrying at the time, but they seem to have done her no harm over the years.
I love all breeds of dogs, but we're used to Labs. We will probably get another dog eventually, another rescue, but at the moment we are in too much pain after the loss of our beloved Harvey. He was a truly brave dog who coped admirably with his disability. Love cats too, but haven't had one for a long time. Love all animals actually!
Wonderful to hear of all your pets - past and present. They all sound very special and much loved.
Forgotten what letter? I'll revert to R for Rescue
@vonny,
I was thinking the same...
S.... Supernatural....
@vonny,
Cool! I am a Taurus also!
@Sturgis,
Rabbit
Vonny, this thread goes where ever it wants to, always has.
When I started it, it was just the first word that came into your mind, but then Dutchy desided to yack away and then Spades
And, so it was tagged chat room
Sturges still just puts the first word that comes to him mind, often I then think of what relates to it lols and type that next.
And, then
It changes to Alphabet ............
Then to chat.
Then to Alphabet what were we up to?

@FOUND SOUL,
You are right...And I just want to say I was just having a joke with Sturgis...although someone thought I was being hateful or something...I guess...
@XXSpadeMasterXX,
Just had a Eureka moment - realised why First Word - so carrot as first word brings to mind a 6' tall white rabbit called Harvey (invisible if I recall old films correctly). A lot for my simple mind to factor in!!!
Oh, and V - Valley of the Dolls
@FOUND SOUL,
Like the thread either as a first first word or as a chat room - both make sense. What's not to like - thanks for the clear explanation.
@vonny,
'Thanks Vonny' ...
HAHAHAHA Gawd, Harvey the invisable rabbit, remember him well..
Oh and it's kind of like "what reminds you" game as well there is a thread on A2K of that nature ...
Spades, don't even worry if someone votes you down, I bet it's not anyone ON the thread
And, I can see them laughing that it bothers you
Signed off
